Bukchon Hanok Village

I went to an area of Seoul today that's called Bukchon Hanok Village. It is an area of traditional Korean houses called Hanok that are lived in and maintained by the residents.

Below is a selection of photos that I took. More photos can be viewed in my Flickr photo album.

Some of the Hanok were used by their residents as workshops offering classes and instruction on various Korean crafts.

The street leading into the village area was lined with small stores and a lot of cafes. There were so many cafes that I don't know how they all managed to stay in business.

When there is no more shelf space inside the store use the roof.
